SCIATICA

 

TYPICAL SYMPTOMS OF SCIATICA PAIN

• True sciatica pain is a strong nerve pain that may or not begin in the lower back and travel thru the center of buttock and into the back of thigh and into the back of calve and bottom of foot

• Sometimes patient feel as if they have sciatica pain, when they actually have sacroiliac joint pain

• Goal of treatment is to eliminate the compression on the nerve causing the sciatic pain

TYPICAL TREATMENT FREQUNCY AND DURATION

• Commonly treatment will be daily for 3-5 days and frequency will decrease with the reduction of symptoms, normally going to 3 times a week for 1-2 weeks and again reducing frequency as symptoms reduce
